From past to present, “Waiting for Omar Gatlato” celebrated sixty years of art, through the artworks of twenty-nine Algerian artists. This exhibition is a proposition made by curator Natasha Marie Llorens at the Triangle France – Astérides center of contemporary art in Marseilles. Anchored in a multicultural and complex Algeria, the artworks show another way of looking at the individual and collective histories of this country and its inhabitants.
